Is a natural glass. Produced when flowing volcanic Lava cools rapidly. On rare occasions Obsidian can be found in Mahogany, rainbow and green colors. It's been used by early humans as arrow heads, blades, needles, tools and ornaments. When knapped rite, it's said to be sharper than a scalpel.
