Collection: 4 Peaks Amethyst Collection. Known as Siberian Red

As part of the Mazatzal Mts. The Four Peaks wilderness, is in the Tonto National Forest. It's here that top grade Amethyst is mined by the Four Peaks Mining Co. Known as Siberian Red because of its ability to flash red in sunlight. Its found only in one of two locations. The other being in the Ural Mts of Russia. Helicopters are used to bring in supplies and remove extracted rough. Only other way to the claim, is a 9 mile hike. No water or electricity, hand tools only. For Millennia, Amethyst has been used by native folk for arrow heads, blades, needles etc. Whether sought after as a ground score when hiking, or worn as a necklace Amethyst will always be a special stone to have.
